Research Opportunities

Please contact Professor Eberhart by email if you are interested in joining the group, there are currently opportunities for PhD students, Masters students, and undergraduate students.

PhD Students

Prospective PhD students are encouraged to contact Prof. Eberhart via email: michael.s.eberhart@njit.edu and apply to the Ph.D. Chemistry program at NJIT. The group is currently recruiting new PhD students for Spring and Fall 2025.
Spring 2025 Application Deadline: October 15, 2024
Fall 2025 Application Deadline: December 15, 2024
Note: Students with bachelor's degrees are welcome to apply directly for the PhD in Chemistry, a master's degree is not required.
Materials required for a complete PhD application include the application for admission, application fee, transcripts from all previous colleges/universities, a personal statement (statement of purpose), three letters of recommendation submitted directly by the letter writers. An English proficiency test score is also required if your undergraduate degree was completed outside the United States. GRE scores are encouraged, but not required.

Masters Students

There are open opportunities for masters students in the group. Please contact Prof. Eberhart via email: michael.s.eberhart@njit.edu if you are interested in joining the lab.

Undergraduate Students

There are opportunities for undergraduate students from NJIT as well as other institutions. Several programs are available to support undergraduate research during the summer. Undergraduates interested in joining the Lab should contact Professor Eberhart by email.

Undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to apply for funded summer research programs:

High School Students

Currently, the group is not able to host high school students. However, there may be other opportunities at NJIT for high school students.
